There's something about the center of a romaine lettuce leaf that this dog can't get enough of! She will practically snatch it out of your hand and immediately run off to the bedroom to crunch on the lettuce... usually on the BED!
Roxy really enjoys the baby leaves in the center with the bottom piece still stuck to it so she can hold on to either side with her furry little paws.
Crunch, crunch, CRUNCH!
Pillow Monster
It was past Roxy's bedtime. She proceeded to take over the bed and wedge her little furry self in between two comfy pillows to catch a few z's...
The Funniest Roxy Face
Roxy wants to go everywhere we go... and we almost let her. She goes to the office, home for lunch, to the bank, etc. She's gotten us kicked out of several food stores. Apparently it's a state law and you can't bring pets into places like Publix, Whole Foods or Sweetbay to name a few. Tonight we went out for Friday night pizza. There were still a few little trick-or-treaters out and about. Roxy loves kids and gets a bit excited. While waiting for a fresh pie Roxy barked such a vicious bark at a large, but quiet dog across Main Street. You would have thought that dog was Roxy's worst enemy. The other dog just ignored her. But you look at that face and it's hard to believe such a bark could come out of that tiny little pooch. Well, it can!
Bad manners or animal instinct?
Roxy Loves Carrots
Ever since Roxy was a wee little pup (she was only 2 pounds and 2 months old when we got her) we fed her veggies as "treats". She loves crunching on carrots, the center of a romaine leaf, apples and more. I figure if you start your pets (and kids) young, they may actually be more apt to eat produce when their older too. My theory works!
Here's a series of old photos of Roxy eating a raw carrot stick (circa summer 2009):
Crunch!
